  ICELAND

I chose to research Iceland because it is very different from the United States including the education system, the different religions, and the population as well. Also, I have never really know much about Iceland and I have always been eager to learn about it. During my research I learned about Iceland's Statistics, which were very interesting to learn about. Using my Statistics from both The United States and Iceland, I also made 4 graphs do compare and contrast a few of my statistics. They include: Literacy Rate Graph, GDP Graph, Religion Graph, and Population Graph. I also made four maps to show certain statistics about Iceland. My maps include Iceland's Resource Map, Physical Land Cover Map, Physical Map, and Political Map. To get to the information about Native Wildlife and Native Plant Life in Iceland, go to this link. Another topic I researched was Iceland's Culture. I really enjoyed writing this particular essay because there were so many similarities between Iceland and The U.S. on this subject. I also researched historical events, and using this information I created a Timeline (Timeline of Iceland.doc.). Along the road, as I was researching all these great topics on Iceland, I created a Bibliography For My Wildlife Essay . I mainly used Culture Grams and Country Reports for all my information to do this project. Click on my Bibliography link to see my bibliography for those two sites. Last but not least... I wrote a Biography on Sveinn Bjornsson. Click on this link to view my glogster on this fascinating man!

I enjoyed working on this Adopt A Country Wiki project over the course of the school year. Thanks Mr. Hathorn!
